Wedgwood AV Limited
RoHS and WEEE compliant AV products

RoHS is the acronym for Restriction of Hazardous Substances.  RoHS also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market after 1 July 2006 must pass RoHS compliance.

The onus is on the manufacturers of electrical equipment to reduce or remove certain harmful elements from the production of their products.

WEEE is the acronym for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.  The regulations, 2006, requires companies who manufacturer, rebrand or import such goods to comply with the regulations as to the disposal of such equipment.

As a reputable and responsible reseller of AV products throughout the UK to the education, government, medical, public sector, registered charities and corporate clients, Wedgwood takes its environmental responsibilities and it is our intention that we will only supply manufacturer's products that are RoHS compliant and WEEE compliant. However, product that has entered the supply chain pre July 1 2006, will sell from our distributors as normal until their stocks are exhausted.
